Cook Island Culture images of traditional life Cook Islands travel has its distinct attractions - Rarotonga is a pleasant tropical land with lots of accommodation and restaurants and lovely sand beaches. Aitutaki Lagoon is more laid back - a true South Seas Isle with stunning small uninhabited islands within its lagoon that are ideal for day cruises. Atiu and the other eastern islands are less attcactive with rugged limestone coastlines and unusual inland caves, whilst the remote atolls of the Northern Cooks are so isolated that few people live there (except black peral farmers) and few people visit. Five days on Rarotonga and two days on Aitutaki is just enough time to see the varied attractions - the travel shows below will help you plan your holiday. Throughout our show, we provide links to a detailed guide and accommodation directory so you can plan and book your holidays having been visually inspired ... We aim to show the country in its raw natural form as you and I will see them and not as they appear in glossy tourist brochures. I get around the country during my frequent visits as a consultant for BeautifulPacific.com, visiting the major tourist sights and snapping these photos along the way. These are unique pictures of real holiday views - sights on the beaten track, nothing set up, no models, not always perfect skies. I hope by viewing this website you will be encouraged to enjoy these stunning scenes in person and to experience the true beauty which words alone cannot capture - to feel the warmth of the tropical sunshine, listen to birds calling out in the pristine rain forests, watch the innocemce of children playing in their villages, smell the sweet scent of flowers in the air and touch the waves as they gently lap against the white sandy beaches ...
