Cook Islands accommodation is located mostly on the main island of Rarotonga, spread out along the coast. There are only a few large resorts with most accommodations being owned and operated by local landowners providing a dozen or so beach bungalows. There are also a growing number of luxury villas and private holiday homes for rent.

 The second most populkar destination is the Lagoon island of Aitutaki about 45-minutes flight north of Rarotonga.. Here you'll find picturesque swimming beaches on the north west coast of Aitutaki make this the most popular place to stay. Stunning beaches on the Southern Tip of Aitutaki at Ootu Point looking across to the main island. There are several small resorts here with great views of the gorgeous offshore islands and sunsets over the lagoon. There are several small luxury resorts and self catering beach bungalows around the main island which has an even more laid back atmosphere than Rarotonga.
